Just an update. The smaller bichirs have been getting nipped by big Dabola so I removed the plants to see if it'll help.
Those were some pretty big bites on the tails. Have you dealt with this type of behavior before? Just curious since I have an endli that is similar.

Yeah I have but it's never anything too major. They all eat like pigs so there is nothing really to worry bout. They don't seem to be stressed out or anything. They still chill with the Dabola. I removed the plants to see if it was a territorial thing since Dabola liked to chill at a particular spot.(never saw Dabola bite the bichirs, probably happening at night). My old setup didn't have any wood/plant, so the bichirs loved to pile together.
