The shop wasn’t positive but thought this was an indo/ northern hybrid?
Any ideas?

Looks like a typical WC juvenile halmahera to me. Could be merauke, but that seems less likely.
Hybridisation is heavily discouraged for many reasons amongst many circles (cichlid fanatics being one), and trying to breed a mainland Australian species with a SE Asian species not only seems counterintuitive but heavily unlikely as well.

Thanks! I thought it was a halmahera, but they said no and that it was a hybrid. I don’t know enough about BTS to argue lol but I did buy it.
