My friend wants to give me his Cagle Map Turtle. I plan to keep it in my sump. I am concerned about the winter air temperature. My basement is unheated and gets very cold. My Native Tank will drop below 55f during the day in the winter.
The tank the turtle will be in is heated to 78f. I don't mind getting a no light heat lamp but that will only heat the basking area. The air above the water will still be cold. Will this be an issue?
