He only cost me $4 so i figured why not. He is very skinny and i felt bad for him, hopefully he survives. On a good not he took broke up massivore right away. I know he a common type but I cant figure out what type. Sorry for the awful pictures. My phone turns them sideways when i take them with my phone right side up for some reason. Thanks!20150828_203314.jpg 20150828_202126.jpg

Mystus abolineatus. They are going thru their spawn in july/august and this is when they are collected out of Asia.

That makes sense because I bought him as a yellow catfish and that was so generic i had no idea what it was. Thank you. Hes eating good now, he should be back to normal soon. Hopefully he will survive.

They are tough so if he is not ill (= eating well) and in good care (= pristine water and no stress) it should rebound no problem from starvation and stress.

Yes, yellow catfish is one of their common names.

(It was a good guess by Wailua boy.)

Sorry about it. Judging from his relatively tiny rear half and huge front half , it was emaciated. Your saying it fed gave me hope.
