CONVICT FLOWERHORN HYBRID

African cichlids can not mix outside of african species.
The Pikachu flowerhorn is very interestings.
My personal thoughts though:
Its taken more of the flowerhorn gene, meaning
the father was flowerhorn, mine are convict and will
maintain more convict traits.
I think the best route would be albino convict female cross
no barred male flowerhorn, cross bass to albino convict,

Out of a total of 40 keeping babies we are growing out,
weve ended up with 8 pure albino paper white babies.
im raising all fry with a bath or red jewels in a 40 gallon
on:
baby brine,blood worms and sinking high protein tetra bites
We currently have our male hybrid with a female flowerhorn,
the original mother to this project, I want them to lose
the convict genes a little more, Weve started this project
to try to make smaller flowerhorns that are not deformed,
Simply a flowerhorn just not a big one.
We have our first batches Largest male hybrid to breed
back to the mother flowerhorn, Ill keep you guys updated on all progress
and our female hybrid is in a tank now with a male albino convict
ill post any pics you guys want

I have been keeping tropical fish for almost twenty years..........When the Flowerhorn syndrome started in the early 2000, I too was excited and bought a group of expensive juveniles....The best one was a 5 inch male that almost looked like a perfect Trimac but with more purple on the belly and with a distinct "star pattern" along the lateral line..........I got the fish to pair and breed within a month in a 100g........I enjoyed it........It will be intresting seeing some "mini-flowerhorns......."Keep posting pictures of the fry growth and keep a breeding pair or two.........There is still a steady society eager to purchase and talk about with when it comes to the Flowerhorn Hybrid...........
this is a perfect project. i was thinking that the idea is to make a mini flower horn, but how small do you recon you could make it ?. its bred by a convict so it shudnt grow alot bigger than a convict.
also when you mention flowerhorn i always think of the deep pink bodys with a bucket load of pearls and huge humps. is this the type your trying to miniaturize ?
