DIY CO2 for 125 gallon?

Is it worth it to use a DIY solution for a tank of this size? Would java fern benefit from CO2? I only have an amazon sword and some java fern at the moment.

DIY co2 systems are mainly for smaller tanks around 55 gallons and under, for such a big tank I would get an automated co2 system... But because you only have like 2 plants in the tank I wouldn't worry about co2 until you start getting more plants, you can do some Flourish Excel every 3-4 days to suffice the plants until you really get things going and then can upgrade to an automated co2 system.

These plants grow happily without CO2.
You may want to add iron for the sword.
