My male dragons blood peacock seems to be hiding in the back behind my rock formations and is swimming kind of awkwardly. Is there any particular ailment that causes this behavior or is he hurt from fighting with other fish?

It could be harassment...what are the dimensions of the tank and what is your stock list?

It's a 48x12, 55 gallon tank. It has two male Dragon's Blood (were supposed to be a pair), a female jacobfreibergi (the male died), a pair of red shoulder peacocks, a pair of hap flamebacks, 3 hap ahli and a rainbow shark. We've had the rainbow shark for 3 years so we're trying not to get rid of him, but he seems to terrorize some of the other fish

Good chance of aggression with the tank/stock you have. Can you isolate him in a hospital tank?

That's pretty small. With an all-male tank it always helps to have a spare tank for hospital or holding fish that don't get along with the rest pending rehoming. I would not go smaller than 10G and 20G Long is a more useful tank overall.

Yes in a pinch I use a 5G bucket with heater and cycled HOB filter.

Sorry for the delayed replies, I ended up losing him a few days ago :(. Poor guy, I may have to give up my rainbow shark. It's far and away the most aggressive fish in the tank
