So I was wondering I tried the frozen silversides for my polypterus endlicheri and it loved them. Now how many at a time should I feed. I fed it one last night so should I just feed it as a treat and use the pellets or should I just mix it up between the two? Still new to polys and just learning from the more experienced. Thanks

Try frozen tilapia fillet, you can buy them at walmart 3lbs for $10,just defroze it and cut it into small pieces, i would use tilapia and pellets as staple, silverside as treat cause they are expensive, if you can find smelt it work good too, i usually find the smelt frozen at a asian store

Dont feed those expensive pet store silversides as a staple. You will go broke! Keep them as a treat and use a different fish as a main staple food. Like Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 said tilapia is the way to go for cost.

I had just bought some to try them out and see if it liked them. Which it does so now I will move to something cheaper but feed them like was mentioned as a treat.
