I’ve seen this post multiple times now and it worries me! I have four festae. And every single one of them has spangles on their fins at least. I have a dominant and a subdominat male for sure. But worried the other two are gonna be boys as wellLooks male to me. Although its a bit young to be sure.
Males tend to have lots of blue spangling in the dorsal, anal and caudal fins, females don't.

I believe juvenile festae females can have spangles? Soo far I’ve learned females have a Y shape line, females tend to be smaller, less aggressive, more red in colour, I think my male had green on his face, and the front of a females dorsal fin goes black… still very hard to tell until they’re adults.I’ve seen this post multiple times now and it worries me!
