I need some help/ideas on filtration for multiple tanks in the same room. I have multiple tanks setup in my basement and I have started moving them all to the same room. I will have the following tanks running in same room, 12'x13'. Each tank is has its own filter/sump and trying to think of ways to make everything more efficient and save some $$$.
125g w/ 40g sump
120g w/ 29g sump
40b w/ AC110
40b w/ AC110
75g w/ XP3

How do you guys filter your fish rooms? Do run all the tanks to a common sump and use a single large pump for filtration or would it be better to use a large air pump and multiple sponge filters? Why did you choose the filtration method that you did?

How do you know what size air pump/blower?
if you know how many air devises and the average depth of them, I would give jehmco a call. They will set you up with just what you need. That is the place for fish room supplies and have very good customer service.
