Hope someone can tell me what this is on my green terrors tail. None of the other fish on the tank have anything on them that I can see. It looks like a white zit, it started as just a blemish that I thought it got from fighting with an Oscar that has since been re homed. I treated it with paraguard for a couple of days (this is what my lfs sugested also salt and heat up to 85. I have not seen any improvement. Please help.

It started to look a little worse and now looks like it may be getting better. If it Doesnt get better I'll put in a hospital tank this weekend. Usually do a 50% water change once a week. Three in an extra 25% today mid week figuring it should help. In general though my nitrates usually don't go higher than 20 ppm.

scar, lymphocyst, ....could be anything. If it's going away, don't worry about it unless it changes for the worse. Always keep 1 Tablespoon of table-salt per 5 gallon of water in your tanks to work on minor things like that. Salt is a great cure, but it's an even better preventative measure.

Yeah I've had salt in there for about a week. It's not getting worse but it's not getting better either. I'll let you know how it looks in a few days. Been doing water changes every other day so hopefully it starts to go away. Thanks for the replies.
