Hello; I guess you are considering the situation where the water touches the aquarium glass or acrylic. This will be heat transfer by conduction (direct contact). My take has been that a simple way to judge the conduction of a material is to have the materials all at the same room temperature and to touch them. Materials that conduct heat better will feel cooler to the touch.

Example being flooring in the same house of carpet, wood and tile. All being at roughly the same temperature. The one that feels cooler in the better conductor.
