I just got a mixed batch of soft lures off of Ebay, and there are a few rubber crawdads with entirely hollow bodies- far more space than is needed for a hook. Am I supposed to stuff them with actual crawdad?
I believe the hollow body is for bouyancy, and you're suppose to use a jig head type hook. The lead keeps the lure on the bottom and the lure floats off the bottom looking like a crawfish with its claws up in the defensive posture
It's the head end that's open. If I could manage to plug this end up with a jig head, it'd float tail-up. I have two that are like this and one slightly different one (different brand, I think) that has both ends open and a flap on the front end. I think it'll do the claws-up posture? Not sure.
