Thanks....not sure exactly what the male is. I had a thread asking for opinions and got many different possibilities. Hope to get some nice looking fry from these twoCongratz! Can't wait to see how the fry turn out. The male is a cyanoguttatus right? My female Mammon has been dropping massive amounts of eggs but has no male. I was thinking of grabbing a Carpintis and trying my hand at breeding them.
Well you got yourself a breeding pair now! Wait did you recently buy this fish there was a guy who was selling this exact fish on here.
Beautiful pair. Red Texas maybe the outcome of this
Congratz again. Don't know why this thread hasn't gotten more responses, I personally see a lot of potential for the fry. By the way I've been giving your "Texas" some thought. I think it maybe a Cyno hybrid. The bare section on Hulks face and the fact that his black spots along his lateral line seem to be framed with blue much like a flowerhorn lead me to believe hybrid. While the size and disrtibution of the spots lead me toward him having Cyno blood. Which is what makes me very curious what the fry will turn out like. Who knows what genetics are lurking in Hulk?
