Thanks ,your a smart fishkeeper..alleykat0498;2289746; said:Well I just dosed his tank with the second treatment of the three it will recieve. I fed him up FAT on crickets before I added the meds so that he will have the energy to carry on until I do a 50% WC tomorrow after noon. Just keepin ya posted.
Not really sure if I'd go as far as to say all that!Red Devil;2289810; said:Thanks ,your a smart fishkeeper..

Just thought I'd let you know he ate pretty well this evening even with the presence of the meds in his tank, so it looks as if this thread can be pretty much closed as long as I keep up the hard work...
That is fantastic to hear.....let me know and good luck... they love those cricketsalleykat0498;2297110; said:Well he's back to cruising in true Aro fashion, no sluggishness at all. He has decided he doesnt want anything but crickets to eat but unfortunately for him I'm not gonna drive 30 miles every time he wants a snack. I'm just gonna wait a while less than 48 hours of course and offer pellets and a few pieces of krill every few hours until he eats... If this goes on too long I'll try another approach.
That is so nice to hear... and it is even more wonderful that your boy is eating everything....wow ...he is such a good boy.... i am so happy it all turned out so well....alleykat0498;2301861; said:So I have learned alot about my particular arowana's personality today. He'll eat anything that i throw within two inches of him on the surface, pellets krill flakes, turkey, shrimp. I'm almost afraid I over fed the lil guy
I added his last ick treatment this evening and he continued to eat even after the water turned the trademark blue of the meds.
I guess this brings me to my next statement. DAMN thats a beautiful fish. The graceful way he glides along the surface and seems to appreciate all of the hard work that i've done recently to ensure his survival. These observations have brought me to the conclusion that its time for a BIGGER tank and alot more arowana's. I would like to thank you guys for the info wether large or small it has concreted my foundation in this hobby, and I will be an MFK'r for life
