What's scary is that these were all caught in Northern Florida, not in the Keys. The fish are following the warm currents north. They've already been reported in Georgia, the Carolinas, and as far north as New Jersey, Connecticut, and LI NY.

i'm not surprised. I've got a marine biologist friend, who spear fishes in her free time. The amount of dead lion fish I see on her Instagram is astonishing. From what I hear, they're very tasty if cooked properly.

if i'm not mistaken, she also was saying something about how the local fish are beginning to prey on them, and had a video of a grouper eating them.

Oddball, they are thick as fleas up here on the panhandle too. My buddy just dove some of our private chicken coops about a mile off the beach and killed a dozen or so on one coop! By the way, I sent you a friend request on FB but you never responded. :(
