My freaken betta died this morning. I haven't the tested the water yet. This came out of nowhere.
This has to be the worst part of fish keeping. Random deaths. He showed no signs of illness. Even now, he's not bloated or covered in fungus. He's just dead. I honestly just want to quit keeping fish when crap like this happens.

Sorry for the loss.

All the water parameters are where they should be.

Seriously.... Wth.

If he were showing signs of illness or if he was old... Then so be it.

But random deaths like that are the most frustrating things.

Wonder if it's just an internal congenital issue due to breeding. I've had a few CB fish that just went down fast and quick and no signs.

sorry to hear, regretfully fish just up and die for no good reason some times.

I think something like that is possible. These guys are breed in ridiculous numbers.
Their shipping process is pretty rough and their time at the lfs can be pretty rough too.

Still bummed. I've had bettas die young but they usually show signs of being "weak", I guess. But not this guy... Bastard.
