K1 for Discus tank

So 75 gallon tank with 6x 3-4" discus. 1 gallon K1. I'm thinking of using these Michaels Crafts plastic sheeting to store the K1 inside the tank. Making a cylinder with airline tubing at the bottom.

1. is this enough K1?
2. what dimensions should the cylinder plastic be?

A gallon in a 75 should be good. Really a solid cylinder would be better. Diameter should be large enough that the K1 can tumble.put mesh on top of cylinder.
