Fishbase is where I got those sizes.

Here are Scientific names in order as of the previous post and sizes (he Fire was stated at 100 cm)

Mastacembelus erythrotaenia- 100 cm
Mastacembelus favus- 70 cm
Mastacembelus armatus- 90 cm
Macrognathus aral- 63.5 cm
Macrognathus zebrinus- 46 cm

Here's the fishbase Spiny Eel page:

Macrognathus aral- 63.5 cm
Macrognathus zebrinus- 46 cm
Think these sizes are wrong .
I have kept a 12" tyre track with a 6" zebra and a 6" panaculas with no problems at all .

Chief, i suggest you post pics. i think the sizes AND the names may be inaccurate. Im from RP and i collect spiny eels too. sellers here (as they do in other places) tend to mix the names up. even the scientific names. i've got 6 variants but they're housed in separate tanks. you can PM me your questions too. :)

I might want to try this.
