Hi guys,

I have a problem with a L95 pleco.
A few month ago i bought three L95 plecos from a online store.
Since they are in my tank one of them has nearly no colour and is really pale.
He also looks a little bit skinny.
The other two plecos are fine and have a nice colour.
Its a 1400 Liter tank about 27 degrees water temperature.
All water parameters are fine and all other fishes are healthy.
I dont now exatly what he is eating because they only eat at night when nobody is in the room.
Every evening i put some pleco wafers in the tank and sometimes vegetables.
I did some research in the internet and read a few storys from L95 plecos that turned white and died after some days.
My fishes are dewormed with prazi pro so this could not be the problem.
I also tryed to rise the temperature to 30 degrees and put some salt in without succes.
I am not sure what to do next and what may be the problem.
Should i separate him to see how he is eating or would this be to much stress ?
Should i treat him for any bacterial infection ?
Has anybody experience with this problem at L95 Plecos ?
I would really appreciate some help from the experienced guys here.

Regards Malte

I would definitely get him into a quarantine tank if you can. I am not sure if you are feeding him correctly either. To be honest not a commonly owned pleco. maybe UnstoppableJayD UnstoppableJayD or MikebNJ MikebNJ

L095 are omnivores... and mine actually skew to the meat side of the spectrum.. he loves massivore and shrimp... I would also not just rely on prazi for worms as plecos come in heavy with parasites. Charney Charney thoughts?

Thanks for your help !
Maybe i should not only feed Pleco wafers at night but also carnivore pellets.
The problem is that the other fishes eat everything before the plecos can get the food.
(my fire eels love shrimps)
The other two L95 are fine its just the third one that looks sick.
I try to make a picture but its not easy because he hangs under the driftwood.
I had treated the whole tank two times with prazi to kill even the eggs .
Any suggestions what other parasite treatment i should do ?
And sould i only treat the sick pleco or the whole tank ?

So far not too bad.
Sometimes he gets a little bit darker and swimms on his back just under the water surface.
I heard that this is normal for this plecos.
I hope so.
He is always in the other corner of the tanks while the other two are always together.
Maybe it is stress from fighting with each other .

if you are thinking it still has worms you could always try levamisole too
