Isla Taboga Panama via Milwaukee
New Dieffenbachia, only about a 10" stem, with leaves, pulled from the local forest last week.

It was just draped in the tank, and is already rooting.

The only problem with Dieffenbachia is they can get a bit large, and out of control.
I am just under 6 ft.

And the root system can easily take up a significant amount of space, in a 6 ft tank ,below, a 180 gal

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I wound up starting simple with some pothos - if it does well I’m definitely interested in those other options as well.
Is there any trick to acclimating it from soil life to tank life, or just a simple transfer?

Just wash off the roots gently and transfer.
