making your own power

If you are just powering lights, that's just one thing less using power....more novelty than anything.....but LEDs dont take much....I think the idea has merit..

Physics 101 says you are better off using a smaller pump on your filter to save on power consumption than trying to recover energy from the output.

I'm always under the assumption if it can't be done...it will be eventually. We just don't know how yet.

I meet a guy a little while back at my lfs who rigged something up with car batterys and a big solar panel to run a few 75 gallons he tried to explain it to me but it was pretty complex great idea though
