Mbuna species-only tank for 20L, 20H, 29 or 30BR.?

I agree with the others who say those tanks are too small, for all but the smallest species.
I have kept Pseudotropheus de masoni in similar sized tanks, but anything much larger is pushing the envelope.
Those tanks might work better for some of the Tanganyikan shell dwellers to occupy the area near the substrate, and some of the smaller Paracyprichromis for mid to upper levels.

Demasoni would probably be your best bet if you want Malawi, if you went tangs there are quite a few more options for those tank sizes.
Tanganyikan? IDK if I really want to mess with the PH that much.....my tap water is already perfect for SA/CA and Malawi Cichlids at 7.4 - 7.6

Also FTR, I used the 20L for a pair of Convicts and the 30BR for a pair of Freshwater Moray Eels at this point so I have the 29 and a 20H available and numerous other tanks stored away if I want them. Lots of smaller ones (dozens 5.5g - 29g) and a small handful of mediums left too.
