Hey guys. I'm mostly active in the Crenicichla and the CA/SA section but here's my discus and crenicichla tank.
Tank is 150 gallon 72x18 tank.
- pair of Crenicichla Tapajos I's
- 4 Brilliant Turquoise Discus
- 4 Red Snakeskin Discus
I just got the snakeskins yesterday and crossing my fingers that they stay healthy since the 4 Brilliant Turquoise discus are existing fish from a different supplier and I've read all the nightmares about mixing discus from different sources.
One of existing brilliant turquoise discus is a real bully and even though it's the smallest of my 8, he chases everyone.
I'm hoping the plants grow quickly to fill out the tank. I'm running pressurized co2 with easy plants like red melon swords, Kleiner swords, hygrophila corymbosa and angustofolia, and vallisneria. Water is Pennsylvania tap water with a PH of 7.5 out of tap and down to 6.8-7 after a day or so.
Water changes once a week at 50 percent and temp at 84.
