There are almost certainly two species within B. sp. "Indochina". One being Bagarius lica from the mainland and Bagarius nieuwenhuisii from Indonesia. We are currently data deficient to be able to tell the difference, we just know that there are two heavily spotted varieties known to exist. You likely have both species, with your Indonesian B. nieuwenhuisii being exceptionally rare in the hobby. The mainland B. lica is far more common.

For reference, here's the relevant part of the guide:

I have got 3 new baby goonches yesterday which is originated from sumatra. Would like to know your opinion on these ones.

Feeding Update of my Indian Goonches ( been 20 months :D )
Growth Report :
1 March 2016 6"
8 January 2018 19"
Fully on live feeders the whole time, never trained him to feed off-live
Feedings were not pushed to its limit for maximum growth , maybe could have reached 25" if i did.

Bad thing my Indochina (Kalimantan Wild Caught) which was my biggest goonch died and i managed to preserve the remaining of him, look at them teeth20170110_181516.jpg 20170110_181441.jpg

Love when they extend their finnage. Does the jur stay up there cause the goonch or lack of light?

My best guess is that the juru stays there because thats where the current goes, all fish in that tank will go much more aggressive when i turn the light off and the juru will still stay at that spot. The goonches used to hunt at that exact same spot (gliding just right below the water surface) and through my observation this far that spot is where the feeders mostly go. So it must be related to the current.
