Ok so my apologies as I did not document the whole build as I only have pics of the beginning and end lol. As you can see in the beginning pic my living room was temperarely transformed into a work shop so I was in a huge rush to finish because the girlfriend wasn't to pleased.. ok now to the build by no means I'm a master with at working with wood but I was forced into it this time because I recently purchased a used 135 gallon the stand that came with it was a very ugly home stand that had screws all over it. Long story short I took apart the stand and around the pre existing 2x4 frame using ac3 water proof laminate flooring used trim nails and wood clue for a clean look. After I added some base board and corner trim to hide the ugly cuts from the laminate flooring which I also used wood glue and trim nails. Installed the cabinet doors and painted it all with black gloss cabinet paint. All in all it turned ok but it was the little bit of experience that was the value in this build. Anyone can make a stand look better with a little effort. Thanks for reading.20150625_181932.jpg 20150701_115627.jpg

Looks almost as good as one of the stands in the Foster and Smith catalog.
