Mystery snail???

He is much better now. He is eating my hornwort :( and is sometimes crawling around. I am going out to get calcium foods for him this weekend, but until then pellet will have to suffice.

Are you sure he is eating the hornwort? I've never had a snail eat hornwort.

He is on it 70% of the time, but he only took about 2 bites until he stopped liking it...
There is also an anubias in the tank.

Usually pretty hardy. I like to watch them when they fall off of something and "glide" to the bottom of the tank. how they do that is probably the mystery.

Get clear pics of the spire and other angles of the mantle. I can't see your pic clearly to indicate whether that snail is a Pomacea diffusa or not.

He isn't at a good angle for that ATM, His spire is in the plants...

It's a mystery snail to me. They do like decaying plant matter so if yours are decomposing, then that could explain the behavior although hornworts aren't definitely tasty.

He dug a ditch for food and a ditch for sleeping. I wuv him!

I can see why you like snails so much

zzzzzzzzz it's a snail you dont really have to care for it much once in a while throw in some fish food. The snail will be fine
