Hi guys, wanted to ask for some opinions;

I bought a little 2 inch JD today, with plans to add him to my 55 gallon alongside my convict and featherfin catfish, but I reckon he's too small to compete with the 3.5 inch convict just now, so I'm boarding him with my Oscar for now (who is 6 inches).

The Oscar tank is a 92 gal corner, long term obviously only being for the Oscar and some dithers.

How long do you think it'd be wise to keep the JD in with the Oscar? I'm half tempted to just move the JD into the 55, with plenty of hiding spots

I'd say put him with the convict just remember to completely re-arrange the tank when you do.

Thanks for the response guys, I moved the JD into the 55; its night here, so the JD was sleeping and easy to catch much to my relief!

Will need to remember and move the ornaments at first light, that's a very good point Buphy

I would say for ever usually, long as JD a male and they get along, but being a corner tank, footprint not really big enough.

Good news!

Seen the JD feeding today from sinking pellets I put in, looked to be in good health; which is great given I was really worried the convict might kill him at first.

Will watch carefully, but fingers crossed it'll proceed well!
