Finally picked up a 50 gallon grow out for my payara.(He was in a 10 gallon, I know too small) but I think in moving him I might of damaged him. I'm treating with salt and metaflix. Any ideas?

Add some MB in there too. Post ur water parameters and temp. Is it cycled?

Reading 0-ammonia, 0-nitrite,10-20ppm nitrate. Temp is 83.5. Was using a old filter rated for a 60 gallon tank in the armies previous tank so I seeded this new tank with filter.it read zero on all parameters for a week then started showing nitrates. Nitrates steadily climbed so I assume it's cycled.

Lower ur temp to 78. It seems cycled. Just recheck with ur local lfs or another kit. Sometimes these kits aren't accurate and the shelf life can expire. MB is methylene blue.

Armatus tend to violently disagree with being captured in a net,all of mine did anyhow. The bigger they grow the harder it becomes to move them and they can sustain a good bit of topical abbrasions and scrapes which looks to be the case with the armatus in the photo..
Mine took a while to heal completely but clean water was all that was really needed.
