I dont know one way or another, but it is probably just worth it to go ahead and do what everyone else does and that is put a sheet of acrylic down on the bottom of your tank to be safe.

This has probably already been said, but...just in case it hasnt. Cheers.

Peacock mantis shrimp DO NOT get bigger than 7-8 inches. Period. What you saw was NOT a peacock mantis shrimp.
This is true, adult size ranges from 1.5" to a maximum of around 7.5" depending on their living conditions/nutrients etc. Though there are other mantis shrimp that get well over that maxing out around 15".

I too would like to get a Peacock Mantis Shrimp but yes!
My big worry is about the glass. I have a 20 long glass fish tank that i bought in Petco. Ive also read that you can add an acrylic sheet to the bottom of your tank to prevent it from breaking it while digging. Is there any way to add acrylic sheets to the entire glass tank? I really dont want to buy another tank. But if i have to, i will.
What do you suggests??
