How come in the hobby we see a lot of "pale" pinimas and not to many pinimas with their natural mature green color body and blue fins?

IMO… people really dont keep them that long or long enough until full maturity. I had one yrs ago at the 20” mark. Blue fins but still pale. It was female also. Sadly it was eaten by a large catfish… Kinda the same deal with tems. Once they hit 20”+ everyone ditches them for being garbage disposals and out growing the “typical” 300ish gal. Most bass that size don’t take transport well either.

Because, a lot of old school bass keepers will not let folks in in our secrets.
