Powerhead for Malawi tank

I have a tank full of different types of peacocks and a rainbow shark (so far). We just added a powerhead to the right side of the aquarium and I was thinking of adding another to the other side as well. I'm noticing the fish seem a little confused by the current, is this just adjustment or will it stress them out? I have my MarineLand head facing horizontally and set up as per their instructions.

It is probably something they just need to get use too. Some fish natural swim against the current and like it. It will not stress them.

Why do you want to add it? I would not go over 10X GPH considering all your apparatus.

After a couple of days they seem really excited about the current. It's also cool to look at the top of the tank and see a small current. I also did my first aquascape with some lace rocks I found at an awesome pet shop up north

So in your opinion id be better off without the Powerheads?

I have a 500 gph spray bar across the side of a 30 gallon. They will play in the current. My tank has calm areas also. In the morning they are all out of the current. Until the lights are turned on.

I'd go without. I just removed a MP60 (only ran at 10-20%) from a 300dd. Fish are out much more. More enjoyable to watch.

I misused the word powerhead, I'm actually using a circulation pump. It's a Marineland 400. Would you guys still recommend removing? I have one on the left and right glass

Anything that increases your GPH circulation can be removed if you already have enough or too much. I always thought powerhead and circulation pump were the same thing.
