those eyes coming at the hawk from the dark is amazing! whoa. hate to see things die and stuff, but it really is incredible to see how capable predators are really, especially birds of prey like that. this video is wild though. yikes

Was the prey a chick or a juvenile hawk or a fully grown one?

Do we know the species of the hawk and the owl?

That is amazing. I'm always impressed with how graceful owls fly. I used to crop dust for a living. About the closest to flying like a bird you can do. There's a great slow motion clip on YouTube of an Owl coming in for prey. "Best slow motion owl footage".
