'Red Gar' ID please

I've had this 'red gar' for well over a year now.. and it has not grown much. The reddish color has not changed one bit. I will post a few pics along with the newly acquired gars sometime soon.

Mine is still "red" and has the horizontal stripe, no spots. He is super shy, a very passive eater, but has grown about 2" this year. That's really alot given that he is very picky with food.

The body structure is of Florida or spotted gar. Florida is of course statistically favored by a million to one over the spotted.

Interesting thread. These red gars floating around is a big part of what got me back on the site. Vince, I'd love to see the new ones that you just picked up! Word made it all the way back to me out in the real world about those fish lol
