I'm looking into getting a new tank. I'm looking at a 100g,120g, or a 125g. My main question is, is acrylic worth the money? I can get a tank and stand for around 600 new in glass. Or I can spend about 850-900 to get just the tank in acrylic. A "clear for life" tank. But then I'd have to make or buy a stand for it. Just curious of your thoughts.

If it takes more than 2 people to move it, go acrylic. At those sizes, you are right on the cusp with a glass tank.

I'd go with a standard 6ft 125g glass tank. Most footprint for the money based on the tanks listed.

That size I would go with the glass tanks most are good for 15 to 20 years

I would say anything over 2.5 ft wide or high go acrylic

The switch over I think goes to when it is no longer realistic to lift and move a glass tank due to weight. My 300 was ridiculously heavy to move but for 1000 dollar difference I think it was still worth it for glass.
