i used hole saw as it was for red belly Ps if you are doing it for smaller fish use a bit that you use for metal and just make more holes (allows for flow of water)

Try to get a very sharp hole saw bit designed for metal rather than wood. Much of the cracking may be coming from the larger teeth used in the wood bits digging in and causing stress in the acrylic sheet. Another thing to take care of is the heat, it can be useful to use some cutting fluid to dissipate the heat created during drilling.

LOL I don't think it looks that bad. I love the flow of them compared to some other DIY tank dividers I've seem. Ive seem painted black and looks so much better but I like the white. I use them ONLY for breeding and separating my nice fry out.
