leave the hide in the tank, keep up the treatments and water changes.

When my parrots got ich, I added 1 tablespoon for every 5 gallons. (never used the table salt. Everyone I asked said not to because it is iodized...) anyhow. I raised the temp to 84, and turned of all lights and covered it with a sheet. I did this for a week. Haven't lost a fish to ich yet. (except when i first started and didn't know this lovely info :) )

Iodine doesn't hurt fish in the low doses found in table salt.

I'll also add that iodine is needed to survive, in fish too!
But after adding table salt, the iodine to water is probably less than 1%
