I loves bristlenose catfishes because they are the least shy and recently I have replaced the normals ones with the longfin version of them. But I noticed that the longfin version of them is way more shy than the normal ones. Have you noticed this behavior before ? Is really longfin bristlenose shyer than the shortfin?

I have got one. I got four white ones, a couple of years ago, not much longer than half an inch. Two did not survive. The other two grew, and were never shy. One more died a few weeks ago. Don't know why, just got pale to transparent and lost strength.

So I have one left, and he is definitely not shy. Always on show. Nose to tail about six inches. Almost impressive.

However, I don't much like him. White, insipid, overly long fins. I think he is over bred. I think in general the long fin ones are over bred.

I won't get any more. But they are not shy.
