Its absolutely the best way to go about it and I wish I did it from the very beginning. Incredibly easy and cheap to set up and I highly recommend it for anyone and everyone.

Shes actually in a 225 that I haven't set up on the auto drip yet, I've been meaning to pull the floor trim back up to hide the tubing because it is not conveniently located by a close water source.

My peninsula tank sits in the living room. I'd like to set up a drip, but haven't thought where best to draw the water.

I fear I'll never vacuum my black Mexican rock substrate if I drip.

75, I vacuum everytime I do WC, although my fish seem to keep it stirred up(meaning it goes to the filter)cause I don't get much.

I'm amazed everytime I vacuum and see the dark columns of broken down wastes that goes up the syphon tube...and I think I do rather l ight feedings at each offering.

I can relate to that...considering my light stock, although I have been feeding more with the little Lei. I can only imagine if I have a medium to high stock for my tank size.

Slate bottom 300g, medium/low stock,
13+ inch oscar
9 inch midevil
8 inch gt
14 inch gibbi
7 x 4-6 inch cichlids

70-80% pw wc. Pull rocks forward once a month to crud suck, Twin fx6.

Heavily stocked 2000l, do 500l wc every 2nd day, stir up the substrate with a power head, I fond vacuum.

150 moderately stocked gets 1 fin leval per week and a 50% wc mid week.

75 gets about 70% once a week.

I dont gravel vac as i have sand, dose weekly with ridx, and have a decent amount of flow so most of the waste ends up in the filters. Im in the process of moving some fish around to even out the bio load. The 150 is becoming a p.i.t.a

Ah.. so the real answer is that you're constantly doing a water change, not never doing a water change.
