La Ceiba Freddy Sexing help plesae

[NW Cichlid Keith]

This is my first Freddy - it is about 4.5 - 5" TL. Any help sexing would be greatly appreciated. I wasn't a fan of this fish at first - hid most of the time and dull - starting to come out now and you can see nice blue in the fins if the light catches it just right - time will tell, but I'm not sure. On a positive note, it doesn't bother anyone.

Hmm going by pattern on the Gill plate and lack of spots. I will vote female. Also fins more tapered then pointed so this also says female to me. But I have never owned a Freddy. So I'm just going on general Parachromis sexing. Always wanted one of these though.

It's a male. Longer body. Females are mor compact and have a more concave slope to the front of their head.
