The life of the liner depends on gravel. If you use rocks and gravel to "hide" the liner it does three services. It looks good, provides an area for bene. bacteria, and helps block UV rays of the sun which will photodegrade the liner. A 45 mil. liner w/ gravel will last for at least 20 years.

Id have to disagree. It will last atleast 30 years:grinno: Seriously if you buy a 45 mil. Firestone EPDM liner, it comes with a 30 year warranty against "UV light and "Normal Wear and Tear"".
