they are pretty cheap really for the more common ones but they are cold water fish not tropical so no heaters... cheapest and most common i see in the stores are the adriatic sturgeon they can be had for $10 i almost got some but i dont have any coldwater tanls right now

Paddlefish are VERY tough from what I have heard. You would need a lot of current to keep food aloft as they are filter feeders.

Wow, I didn't think you could train them to take food, I thought that they just swam around and ate whatever went through.

in a koi pond though they could live, hell if you want a true monster get a beluga sturgeon but believe me you dont have enough room for one and couldnt afford to feed it

i dont know i have never fished for them but the belugas dont live in the us i think that they live in europe and mostly russia

heres a small beluga sturgeon can supposedly get about 30' and over 3000 lbs got a pond big enouh for one of these???
notice the boot in the pic this fish is only four years old

oh well then im wrong. the big ass ones in washington that are like 600 pounds.

yeah theres big ones in the us dont get me wrong its just that the mega huge ones live in europe i think that the big ones here are the lake sturgeons
