confused, lost, and lonely
the 8" cuttings for sale at Petco are the same 8" cuttings for sale at 1/4 price at local garden shop, They should be kept as emergents but I found out today that they will suvive fully submerged in a tropical tank for at least a year. As an aside my sister has a clummp of them in gravel in a 1g shallow golf fish bowl, they are now over 2' tall. there is a lot of green algae in the water and today I found a fiddler crab in there. It has a burrow between a couple of bamboo stalks. I gave it to her almost a year ago and she thought it had died when she found it's shell. She hasn't fed it in 3 months! Can any body say amen!? :hitting:

lol

If its that lucky Bamboo they try and sell in store which I am guessing it is, it is NOT BAMBO but Dracena, a plant very well known. True Bamboo is a grass- Google it and you will see.

Hollowed out bamboo also makes a great hiding spot home for many fish. It needs to be coated though so it won't break down.
