Need help with fish!

I just rescued about a dozen and a half feeder guppies from a school project, if i didnt they would have been flushed in the toilet. As of now there in a little 1 gallon i setup for like 10 bucks. It has a UGF and a air pump and a top with light. I was just wondering what kind of bottom feeder i can get that wont get too big and will eat the algae and the food that sunk. I will be upgrading them to a 2 gallon that comes with a mini HOB filter i think.:woot:

thanks i forgot that i also had 3 or 4 sprigs of elodea in it, they like to hide in it and if they have babies it will give them more hiding spaces and the tank more oxygen. it came with the fish so i just put them in there lol i looks good though.

i know but im not sure if there really is that many, i was just overestimating, i think its better to overestimate then to underestimate. i had to get them or they would be flushed and knowing that i couldnt just let them die. :grinno:
 
Good for you ! Now see if you can do the best for them. That small of a tank, you need to do partial (10-20%) water changes daily untill you can get a bigger tank. Go online and look for a "free cycle" forum in you area and ask if someone has a tank they no longer want and explain what you did, you may be pleasently surprised. Good Luck.
 
this tank is temporary, i have a 20 gallon aquarium now im looking for a hood and light for cheap because i wont have too much money. im gonna get them an aqua clear mini or the next step up for it and put some cory cats with them. and im getting a 50-55 gallon agressive tank too so i love this hobby and im already getting more tanks lol this aquarium was an upgrade because there was like 4-6 fish in a single 2 liter, so i got 4 2-liters with about 4 fish each and upgraded them to a 1 gallon a few days later, i gave one of the 2 liters with fish away to my friend who had a tank already. thanks for the help. i dont know why their feeders either because there actually pretty fish and fun to watch
 
Can anyone reccomend me some supplies for a 20 gallon. I cant spend a fortune on this tank either, im hoping to spend 50 max! I need a

filter get either a small whisper,tetra or aquaclear for a top go to homedepot and get a piece of plexi glass for it you can get the piece for a couple bucks and cut it to suit your needs aga heaters and whisper are good and cheap and whisper air pumps are good and cheap also hope this helps try looking on drfosterandsmith.com and bigalsonline.com they have great deals on stuff hope this helps Nic :)
