I currently have a 7-ish inch ornate (who also recently bit my ropefish to death) and while I was at my favorite LFS this week, one of the guys who works there asked me if I would like to take his delhezi off his hands, as he's moving and he'd rather give his fish to someone he knows has some experience with polypterus. He said it's about 9" TL. My tank is 125 gallons. Do you think it could work? I'm much more inclined to take you bichir-nuts' advice now that you advised me against the ropefish (in my defense, the ornate didn't eat him, he just bit him
).
Or should I pass on a free 9" delhezi for the sake of my fish and the delhezi?
