Okay that is better since it is on the white background. I see it as yellow when enlarged and on the white background.

No flaming at all man, no worries. All feedback is welcome. My P&S does make it hard to tell unless you zoom in. These were the clearest shots I could get. The flash makes my nitrate look slightly lower than it is too.

Damn. When I saw the title I was really hoping that this was a multi-tank experiment with half the tanks using stability and half not.

Still, 4 days is very impressive.

That is actually very possible. I have two 55 gallon tanks that are sitting empty we can put to the test. One on stability and one fishless cycle with pure ammonia. I like that idea. Let me figure out what I am going to stock in those tanks and we'll do it. Good thinkin, thanks! ;)

oo sorry forgot to add that.. this 125 is just newly set up(on sunday) i added four established filters from my previous 100 which are 2 AC110 and 2 Eheim Pro II 2028, but out of my ignorance, i replaced the quilt batting in the two cansiters and took out the gunk. so my guess that it took some bb out. and i used completely new water for the tank, etc. so my tank is going through a mini cycle

For use with Stability you should be using "clean" filtering media not established as the Stability bacteria may not "take" if they have to fight or get eaten by another form of bacteria.

I always start my QT with a totally clean setup and Stability works fine every time....zero ammonia.

nitrate: between 5-10ppm
ammonia: .25ppm
nitrite: 0ppm

added the second dose just after the test. some noticable decrease in the ammonia and nitrate.

Told ya ;) give it two more days. I'll take Ben's and say STABILITY FTW!!!

When I first saw this stuff I too was skeptical...

They were mighty tall claims IMO,
especially in the new tank syndrome area.

but after trying it and seeing the results in my own,
and every other tank I helped get started, it's a no brainer!

Come to think of it, I have never even got a bacteria bloom with it either.
From brand new tank, day one, it was clear...

I always thought these products were just a bunch of bull and after reading this thread i might have to try it.
I am currently setting up a 560 gal tank and i thought it would take like two months to cycle, now i will be able to put fish in it sooner!!!

your going to need a big bottle lol. but so far this product has impressed me. and ive been in the same boat as you, i was always skeptical when using additives like this

I always do. Once I open a bottle I never resuse it so might as well finish it off unless your seeing signs of a bloom. I never have experienced a bloom from this product but others have.

Glad you found this thread useful. Do it and add the results to this thread too. You should add fish right away if your using Stability. No need for final stocking but it needs a food source.

Between your 560 and my 300 we will have really put this stuff to the test on large tanks... :D
