When is a fish illegal?

I went to a LFS on friday and there was a cat they called a tiger planiceps. I know for a fact that thay are tiger shovelnose cats. They are illegal in Hawaii.
What do you think? Should I go get one? They were charging $45.99 for them.

if you buy them and they arent allowed in your area then you can get a permit. or you might end up getting jail time or a big fine.

But you may end up saying the fish store sold them and if u have your reseit or w/e the fish store can get screwed over.

truthfully though.................deny....deny....deny...............but like you said if they are selling it under a different name etc.....get it and claim ignorance...........heck you didn't import the fish right!!!...........keep your mouth shut and enjoy the fish............

Edit..... I am in no way promoting or encouraging the keeping or importing of illegal fish !!!

Go in there and claim your from the department of fisheries and tell them you have to confiscate it or they'll be facing huge fines!!!

BTW ignorance and denial won't stop you from being fined or jailed, Its your responsability to know what your buying and whether its illegal or not.
