black aro. price?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i will go to a LFS and get someone stupid who doesnt know aros. and get him for the price of a silver

does this statement ring a bell?????? idiot.:banher:

zoo - I doubt it. They'd pay more themselves than the selling price of a silver. So no you won't get one for the price of a silver.

it is true when they are young they are jet black with yellow strip when they get older they get lighter in color that is why people call them a "true black(blue)arowana"

You are going to be paying at least $150 if not more if you are even going to be able to locate one close to you. You may be able to get one from the community sellers and you will pay well over $200 due to shipping.

Also there is also a very slim chance that your LFS can even get them. I have asked all of my LFS if they can get them and they haven't had them on there list of fish they can get for well over a year. Last time I a black aros in a LFS was over 2 years ago.

Good luck on finding one, but expect to pay a good amount of money for it. If I was you though, I would just go for a silver. I like them better than blacks whether the silver has drop eye or not.

i herd that when they get older they are blue not black is this true... www.aquascape.com look up oddballs blue arrow

When blacks get older, they have a blue tint on their fins edged with a dark yellow color. They just use the blue, and try to pawn them off as somthing there not, to make a few extra dollars. Also, some people just call them blues.
