Just acquired this guy in a trade - really cool fish - very outgoing. Pics dont pick up the depths of the reds and blues - need to work on that.

KNH - so far no aggression towards the clown loaches, danios or the one small 3" Synspilum in the tank

It's an Oreochromis sp. found in Lake Tanganyika, hence the name Oreochromis tanganicae. Great fish, but take awhile to color up like that. I have a young male that's about 6" and nowhere near as colorful as John's. Well, not yet anyway.

That really is an amazing fish.. Another nice addtion from the list of amazing fish from lake tanganyika.
