hi ! i have a 4-5 inch male jaguar cichlid and a bigger 7 - 8 inch female ...i divided them and now i want give my jag some good food to grow very fast ...i can buy live food , frozen food , pellets ..just give me the names of few very good foods that make my jag grow very fast

Good water conditions are a big part of growth also. Some say more important than diet. I would use Hikari Bio Gold + as the staple and give him Krill and Shrimp twice a week as a treat. May want to add another good quality pellet such as NLS. Just let it take it's course it will be there before long.

I don't. I feed mine what I listed above. No worries about things getting messy or pesticides or any thing else harming the fish.

Why do you want the fish to grow fast?

Bulk feeding can lead to other health problems. Messy water is also a major by product of that.

Feed them a good mixed diet and let them grow. Dont interfere cause you just seem very desperate to breed your Mana. If it happens then it will happen. Why try and force the matter any more?

As mentioned already, good pellets like NLS and Hikari with regular water changes will give you the growth you want. Male Jags will usually grow much larger than females so your male may be smaller now but it will be larger than the female eventually. If you just can't wait to breed them, lay a piece of slate against the females side of the divider where she can lay her eggs and the male can still fertilize them through his side of the divider. You'll need a sturdy divider for this, not that flimsy mesh stuff. Above all else, leave them be. The more you change their routine and rearrange their tank, the longer it may take for them to bond. Be patient.

he'll grow faster then u think.... water changes and varied diet is the way to a monster

NLS,HIKARI BIO-GOLD, BEEF HEART FROZEN FOOD, WATER CHANGES WEEKLY AND RAISE THE TEMP ON THE TANK MOST JAGS CAN HANDLE UPTO 88 DEGREES. WHEN I HAD MINE IT WAS KEPT ON 84 AND HE GREW REALLY FAST. BUT LIKE GRUFF SAID IT TAKES TIME AND IF ITS GONNA HAPPEN IT WILL YOU CANT FORCE IT.
